Born in Nagasaki, Japan, Yuli grew up in Hong Kong and the United Kingdom where her passion for creativity led her to study Fine Arts first in London, then later in the United States. Yuli is an accomplished stone carver and has exhibited her sculptures in Santa Fe, NM while teaching art and languages in Southwestern United States, Central and Southern Mexico.

During her youth, Yuli’s love of working with her hands and Japanese health practices allowed her to find alternate expression in working with the human body. Gaining invaluable experience over twenty years of providing massages to friends and family and receiving bodywork from master practitioners, Yuli undertook a course of study at Sedona School of Massage and is a nationally certified and state licensed massage therapist. Recognizing that each person is unique and has specific needs, her massages are tailored to each individual. Techniques offered include but not limited to:

  • Connective Tissue Therapy seeks to lengthen, spread and differentiate muscles and their fascial component. This therapy uses heating and softening of tissue to create more space for all the life fluids and nutrients to move through the body.

  • Deep or Light Swedish massage primarily involves long, soft, kneading strokes to release tension from the deepest muscles of your body. While releasing tension from the surface layers of muscles, this method uses light, tapping, rhythmic strokes.

  • Neuromuscular Therapy focuses on myofascial trigger points and hypertonic muscle fibers to help balance communication between the nerves and muscles to bring the problem areas out of protection, so the muscles can relax.

  • Trigger Point Therapy aims to release those stubborn spots in muscles that tend to display referral pain patterns to other parts of the body.

  • Japanese in origin, Shiatsu utilizes the same treatment method as acupuncture by addressing energy channels of the body known as meridians. Oftentimes working through the sheet or with clients clothed, this is done through compressing and releasing tissue as well as full body stretches to rejuvenate and stimulate Chi, the vital force of energy in the body.

  • Cupping Therapy creates negative pressure above the surface of the tissues, rather than tissue compression, facilitating rigid soft tissue release and loosening areas of adhesion or restriction.
